Settlement of Ring Footing Resting on Geocell Reinforced Sandy Soil under Cyclic Load

Ring footings are widely used as a foundation for water tanks, television antennas, silos, chimneys, oil storage etc. This paper is conducted to study the ring footing model's experimental cyclic behavior and circular resting on sandy soil reinforced with geocell. A group of ninety-six test models has been tested investigate shallow footings' beneath loading various rates. Four shapes sand three relative densities, two embedment depths footing, rates, widths geocell were used. It was founded that depth increases, settlement due decreases. Generally, when other variables maintained be same, bearing capacity increases increases. The rebounds some degree during decay period load. presence at equals 100 mm will provide more improvement in all than using it surface, especially 2 where radius ratio 0.4.
